The Indonesian Diaspora Foundation was established at the Congress of Indonesian Diaspora in Los Angeles, on July 6th – 8th, 2012 by Indonesian diaspora in the United States. IDF is the vehicle for the Indonesian diaspora’s humanitarian efforts and philanthropic activities, focusing in education, empowerment and humanitarian assistance.
IDF is a community-based non-profit organization that is an open and inclusive and serves all without regard to religious, ethnic or political backgrounds. Although, it is currently a US-based organization, it aims to serve Indonesian diaspora communities globally.
IDF is a volunteer-based organization where all board members and officers do not receive any compensation in any forms for their dedication to IDF.
Vision and Mission IDF
envisions a greater role for Indonesian diaspora communities worldwide to make a real positive impact socially and economically, not only for the communities they currently live in, but also for Indonesia, for each other, and for the world. IDF seeks to help Indonesian diaspora around the world to achieve what they aspire to be – a confident community with local and global impacts.
IDF’s mission focuses on three key areas — to help empower Indonesian diaspora worldwide, to help strengthen the Indonesian education system, and to provide humanitarian assistance as necessary.
