The business was started in 2020 by Bobby Saputra and his wife Hana, both originally from Surabaya, East Java, who had moved to Canada roughly a decade earlier to work in other fields. Bobby began cooking because he found few restaurants in the Greater Toronto Area serving the Indonesian food he grew up with, and the pair began taking pre-orders and appearing at pop-ups and festivals around Hamilton before securing a permanent stall at the Farmers' Market in 2023.

The menu rotates but keeps several staples in regular rotation. Mie goreng, fried noodles with crisped onions, a choice of protein, boiled egg, and vegetables, and nasi goreng, fried rice with shallots and garlic that can be made meat free and is served with a fried egg, tempeh, and sweet soy sauce, are consistent offerings. Beef rendang, slow cooked in coconut milk for roughly four hours, is also a regular item, along with bakso meatball skewers, bao, chicken skewers, soups, salads, and frozen take home meals. Vegetarian and vegan options are available, and the stall has at times featured otak otak bandeng, a Central Javanese dish of milkfish stuffed with coconut and spices and then baked, a dish rarely found on Indonesian menus in the area. All dishes are described as made fresh to order without added MSG.

The Hamilton Farmers' Market is open Wednesday through Saturday, though individual vendors, including this one, may keep slightly different hours than the market as a whole, so checking the stall's own signage or its social media before visiting is advisable.
