About Nusantara Restaurant

Nusantara Restaurant brings the cooking of Indonesia to Turmstrasse in Berlin. The restaurant was founded by three Indonesian women living in Berlin who share a love of cooking, and it opened its doors on 3 September 2011. More than a decade on, it remains a meeting point for Indonesians living in the German capital and for Berliners who want to eat Indonesian food cooked by people who grew up with it. The menu covers the dishes most visitors ask for first: gado gado, nasi goreng, soto ayam and beef rendang, served alongside a range of traditional hot and cold Indonesian drinks. Vegetarian diners are catered for with dedicated meat-free choices, and the restaurant states that all of its food and drinks are halal certified, which makes it a reliable choice for Muslim visitors to the city. Meals can be eaten in the restaurant's spacious dining room, which is set up for family gatherings and professional celebrations, or outside on the terrace when the weather allows.
