Sekolah Indonesia Kota Kinabalu, known locally as SIKK, is a government-established school in the Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park area of Sabah that exists to serve one specific population: the children of Indonesian citizens living and working in the state. Sabah has a large Indonesian community, many of its members employed in the palm oil, logging, and oil and gas sectors, and SIKK was set up so their children could continue an Indonesian education without losing time or standing if the family later returns home.
